Working mum Kate is juggling her family life and her job. When her bosses wants her to travel more within her job, it all get more complicated for her. She needs to figure out a way to do her job and not let it effect her marriage or her two young children. She is determined not to let anyone down and to do her best, and of course not let the fact that she's a woman affect anything. Her situation doesn't get any easier when she grow closer to her attractive boss Jack Ablehammer.
Did someone say chick flick? Oh yes! This is a proper girly comedy with a lot of humour and some romance. Sarah Jessica Parker is delivering a brilliant performance, as do the rest of the cast. There's so many different types of characters and the cast makes that work in a fun way. The film also focus on the difference between being a working mum and a working dad, and whether or not it still is a matter of sex in the office. The script is absolutely lovely, it contains several punch lines who will make you laugh for hours. From time to time the film is a little predictable however. But if you're after a cute comedy to cheer you up, this is definitely the film for you! The film is based on a book, by the same name, written by Allison Pearson.
